The idea comes from a simple insight: children’s fear of the dark leads families to keep lights on at night, creating unnecessary energy waste and unsustainable habits. Instead of educating through rules, the project flips the perspective—making darkness something children want.

GOODNIGHT LIGHT is a children’s book printed with luminescent ink that reveals its story only in the dark, turning off the light into a playful action. The book also becomes a comforting bedside lamp, supported by glow-in-the-dark stickers that encourage a natural bedtime ritual. In this way, saving energy becomes part of the game.
